DX3906 is an audio-visual performance, created with game engine logic, utilizing Open Sound Control (OSC) as a protocol for networking between Unreal Engine and the MIDI system in Max, enabling communication between them. Programs created with Unreal Engine's visual programming language, translates OSC data signals into prompts that dynamically change the features and behaviors of actors in 3D space according to real-time music, resulting in a pre-sequenced yet semi-chaotic real-time, hopefully engaging simulation. A fuzzy, gloomy, dark space environment, yet playful with cartoonish VFX, neon lights, and the chaos generated from the engine, creates a 'magical space opera' where 3D creature-like sculptures dance. This speculative environment hopefully serves as a reminder of the universe's boundless possibilities.
