In this 20-minute audio/visual performance, we collaborate to vividly recreate the
experience of descending to the world's deepest point with the renowned Deepsea
Challenger submarine.
The audio artist endeavors to craft a soundscape that encapsulates underwater echoes, the
incremental buildup of water pressure, and the hum of the submarine, using coding and
analog synthesizers. With these auditory components, the audience is immersed in the
sensory experience of deep-sea exploration. I used a trained AI model to populate the ocean's depths with diverse underwater species. This visual narrative, involving a
creative collaboration of algorithmic and human-made dreams, represents an exploration of
the 'latent space,' offering a transient glimpse into infinite possibilities.
